Old Gs are back in action on Saturday as they look to right a few wrongs from the opening day defeat at HSBC.
They travel to Southwark who recorded a good opening day victory and will prove a stern test for a Pete Olliver’s Old Gs side.
Whilst not getting out the blocks at HSBC Old Gs will be looking to put their stamp on a contest which has thrown up some competitive games between the two sides in recent years.
Despite further injury and unavailability, with Grant Roe and Ed Wright joining the long list of injured players, Old Gs put out a promising side. Without wingers James Hood and Martyn Langley there are call ups for Ryan Lockyer and Steve Thompson in the back 3. Will McArthur returns in midfield and Chris Daniels features in an energetic back row alongside Andy Morris and Ash Bourne.
There is a club debut for Rob Pocock in the front row, and potential first team debuts for Brett Hill and Martin Povey off the bench.
The squad in full is as follows:
Rob Pocock
Jordan Lynch
Steve Jarrett
Frazer Barnes
Will Payne
Ash Bourne
Chris Daniels
Andy Morris
Pete Olliver
Mike Hodge
Steve Thompson
Will McArthur
Matt Thompson
Harry Cockerill
Ryan Lockyer
Martin Povey
Brett Hill
Tom Hammerton
Kick off away at Southwark is at 3pm and all support is welcome! Come on Old Gs!!!
