Old Gs will look to get back to winning ways on Saturday as they travel to old foes RBS. Off the back of the disappointing defeat to Ashford, Old Gs will be looking produce a performance more aligned with their earlier form this year against a stubborn RBS side that they have struggled to overcome in recent fixtures.
Having trained hard this week – the side have pushed the reset button and know what they need to do to bounce back to put on the display that they are capable of. Still sitting 4th in the table after a promising start to the season, a win will get Old Gs back on track as they look to cement their place in the upper echelons of Kent 1. Despite some battered and bruised bodies after last weeks exertions the club name a strong side for the fixture.
Brett Buckingham and Paul Mitchell are the starting props, with Ash Bourne coming in at hooker. Andy Morris and Joe Martin are in the second row. Chris Daniels is joined by Chris Johnson on the flanks, who moves into the forwards. Jack Nash completes the pack at number 8.
Doug Wilson and Matt Holdstock continue as the half backs. Ben Wadsworth makes a welcome return to the midfield in the 12 shirt, with Matt Thompson shifting out to his regular outside centre berth. Martin Langley is back in the side on the wing, with Richard Parish taking the other wingers shirt. James Hood completes the set at full back.
The replacements are Ross Coleman, who will look to make a 1st team debut off the bench, Steve Thompson and Ryan Lockyer.
Kick off at RBS is 3pm and all support is welcome.
