The 1s are in action in a home pre-season friendly against Bromley on Saturday. They will be hopeful of a solid performance as they look to implement head coach Pete Olliver's new game plan ahead of the Kent 1 season starting in 2 weeks time. They face a tough test as they welcome a Bromley side from London South East 3 who will be looking to finalise their own preparation ahead of their league campaign.
Old Gs have a number of players unavailable due to holidays, work and injuries, but still put out a strong side. Despite coach Pete Olliver needing to step in to supplement the squad at half back. One huge plus point is the prospect of seeing Mat Coomber back in an Old Gs shirt after over 18 months out injured. The former 1st XV captain and player of the year will look to ease his way back into the game after serious back and neck injuries. There are also debut first team appearances for Ralph Walpole, Will Payne, Joe Wortham and Robbie Daniels (finally getting a decent Daniels on the pitch). Congratulations to all - thoroughly well deserved!
The squad is as follows (in no particular order)
