Super 2s look to get back to winning ways away to Cliffe. With the end of the season looming the old boys look to set their stall for next year by finishing the season with more wins.
With mass unavailabilities across the club some favours were called in and the side is boosted by a handful of fence hoppers who have decided to get a bit of colour in their others monochrome rugby lives.
Phill “Fred” Boyer makes a start on what will possibly be his final appearance for the 2s before he embraces retirement and plays solely for the vets, along side him is Ben Ranall who will also be taking on captaincy for the day. Filling in the front row is Matt Vickery.
The engine room sees two zebras teaming up to provide some major horsepower, Oaf and Elvis will partner perfectly. Andy Day and Harry Ballantyne will take up the flanks with Darrell Conlan steering the ship form 8.
Andy Hinde is in at 9 again after Doug Wilson was called up to the 1st XV. Will McArthur makes his return at fly half after sitting out a few weeks with an AC injury, in a new look centre partnership Will Tann is joined by Mick Caveney with pace on the wings provided by Axl Elcome and Joe Wortham. Martin Povey makes a return to the back line at full back with everyone hoping it’s better than his last outing there.
The bench is somewhat forward heavy with Neil Eggerton, Ginger George and Ralph Walpole joined by a sloe back in the form of Kieron Coyle.
