Old G's 2nd team travel to Maidstone for their first league fixture of the season this Saturday. After a strong pre-season which saw increased numbers at training and a solid win over Charlton Park "Fuffs" Captain Kevin Spain has his eyes set on the top spot of the league this season.

With new shirts and a smattering of new players your team is as follows:

Coming out of a "retirement" that lasted all of one pre-season game Phill "Fred" Boyer is back in the front row where he is joined by Dave "Frodo" Owen and Kenny Price. Behind them in the engine room and will be Luke Mills and Sam Snell with Andy Hinde, Darrell Conlan and the returning James Heaver finishing off the pack.

Doug Wilson has been released by coach Andy Miller and will take the 9 shirt. Mark Fenton-Smith steps in to 10 and will also be captain come game day with Kevin Spain being picked for the 1st team this week. Outside MFS are Matt Sommerville and Liam Cole with Paul Coomber, Kieran Coyle and Alex Peddler completing the back line.

The replacements will be Russell Allen, Conor Fenlon, Jamie Edwards and Ben Randall.
