The league action continues for Old Gs on Saturday as they travel to local rivals New Ash Green for another Kent 1 clash. Following a hard fought, win against 2nd place Gillingham Anchorians last week, Old Gs know that they will need to produce a similar performance if they are to topple their old adversaries who sit lower down in the table.
Despite this, and having defeated New Ash Green earlier in the season, Old Gs know they have to be on their guard and produce the same flowing rugby of recent weeks in order to secure a positive result and keep their league momentum going against a team that will be looking to produce an upset.
Old Gs make a few changes to the squad from last week. Paul Mitchell and Brett Buckingham are the props. Andrew Kidd misses out through the dislocated elbow he suffered last week. He is replaced at hooker by Matt Johnson. Skipper Frazer Barnes and Joe Martin pack down in the 2nd row, with the back row of Andy Morris, Ash Bourne and Sam Baker unchanged.
Grant Roe is at scrum half. Ben Wadsworth takes the 10 shirt with regular fly half Matt Holdstock sitting out the rest of the season with the broken ankle inflicted on him after the final whistle last week. Matt Thompson and Matt Wilson continue in the centres, with the back 3 consisting of James Hood, Martyn Langley and Chris Johnson.
Old Gs replacements are Ross Coleman, Chris Daniels and Ryan Lockyer.
Kick off at New Ash Green is at 2pm and all support is welcome.
