Old Gs are back in action on a Saturday as they travel to Cranbrook for a crunch Kent 1 clash. A game between the 2 sides is always a competitive affair and this looks like proving no different with Old Gs 4th and Cranbrook 6th in Kent 1 – separated by only 4 points in the table. Last year the sides shared the spoils in their two league fixtures – with Old Gs winning away at Cranbrook, with the Cranes returning the dose when they visited North Kent.
Well known for their energetic expansive game plan, Cranbrook will prove to be a tough test for Old Gs, who will need to be at their best if they are to come away with a positive result from the fixture. However following a strong result last time out at home to HSBC they know that if they play to their potential that the win is there for the taking.
Old Gs stick with the majority of the squad from that HSBC fixture.
Brett Buckingham, Andrew Kidd and Paul Mitchell start in the front row. Joe Martin and Frazer Barnes form the engine room in the second row. Ash Bourne, Chris Daniels and Andy Morris complete the forward pack.
Grant Roe and Matt Holdstock continue at 9 and 10. Matt Thompson shifts to inside centre where he is joined in midfield by the returning Mat Wilson. Ryan Lockyer starts on the wing where he joins James Hood and Chris Johnson in a lively back 3.
Jack Nash, Richard Parish and Steve Thompson will look to make an impact as the replacements.
All support is welcome at Cranbrook, with the fixture kicking off at 2:30pm.
