After a week with no game Old Gs are back in action on Saturday as they welcome Ashford to North Kent.
The clash sees Old Gs face the league leaders, with Ashford boasting a five from five record. Despite knowing the challenge that the away side will provide, Old Gs come into the game full of confidence, 3rd in Kent 1, with only Gillingham separating the two sides in the table.
Old Gs know what they will face, a big organised set of forwards that will look to dictate play and create space for their energetic backline. However they know they can cause Ashford plenty of problems themselves if they execute the high tempo game plan that has got them into the upper standings of the league and will look to take the game to Ashford and put their mark on the fixture, the stand out contest in Kent 1 this week.
In regards to selection Old Gs welcome back Ed Wright to the front row where he packs down with Matt Johnson and Brett Buckingham. Skipper Frazer Barnes is back from injury to reacquaint himself with 2nd row husband Andy Morris. Jack Nash shifts to number 8 to replace the injured Sam Baker. Andrew Kidd and Chris Daniels will provide the pace power and energy on the flanks.
Doug Wilson is at scrum half. The three quarters is an all Matt's affair, with Matt Holdstock returning to the 10 shirt where he is joined by Matt Thompson and Mat Wilson in the centres. Richard Parish and Ryan Lockyer provide the pace and guile out wide with Chris Johnson completing the line up at full back.
The replacements of Paul Mitchell, Joe Martin and Janes Hood will look to make a impact later in the game.
Kick off is at 3pm and all support is welcome.
