Old Gs travel to Kings College Hospital on Saturday to renew the rivalry with their counterparts from South East London after a season without the two sides meeting each other, with Old Gs having taken a swift return trip to Kent 2.

Kings have started the season well - producing some strong performances to propel themselves to the upper ecehlons of Kent 1 and recently troubled runaway leaders Beccehamian. Old Gs though travel off the back of an impressive performance in the thriller at Gillingham, where they came so close to causing an upset. They are fully aware that a similar effort will be required in order to secure a result on Saturday.

The Old Gs injury merry-go-round is again in force this week, with Mike Hodge and Greg Humphreys back in the squad. However, it's 2 steps forward and 1 back as Mat Coomber steps out with his recurring neck problem.

In the absence of Coomber, Andy Kidd moves from hooker to the back row, with Kevin Spain starting in the 2 shirt. He is joined in the front row by Brett Buckingham and Lewis Moss. Frazer Barnes and Joe Martin continue in the second row with Kidd accompanied in the back row by the beard that's feared Phil Costley and Andy Morris.

Doug Wilson and Matt Holdstock are once again the designated half backs, with Mark Fenton-Smith and Mat Wilson, both so impressive last week, continuing their centre partnership. The back 3 is made up of the elusive Ryan Lockyer, flyer James Hood and the energetic Chris Johnson.

Hodge and Humphreys will look to make their returns off the bench, where they will be joined by the evergreen Paul Mitchell.

Kick off is at 2:30pm - half an hour earlier than previous weeks so don't get caught out and arrive late. All support is welcome as Old Gs look to get back to winning ways.

Injury Update

- Prop Noel Hartley has returned to training and is hoping to be back in the selection mix in the lead up to Christmas
- Versatile Matt Johnson remains on the long term injured list, with an operation date confirmed for his shoulder injury sustained at Cranbrook on the opening day.
- Chris Daniels is still working his way through rehab on an ankle injury picked up on blue and blue day - with no return date set as he continues the long recovery road.
- After playing last week Mat Coomber's neck issues return and he misses out this week. Hopefully only a short term absence.
- Steve Hurdle is gradually on the comeback trail from the rib and finger injuries injury sustained in training.
- Pat Foreman remains sidelined with a shoulder injury picked up away at Southwark Lancers - hoping to return before Christmas.
- Matt Thompson is again absent with a knee injury - his absence looking more long term than initially thought.
- Richard Parish is on the road to recovery and back to training following his broken wrist sustained in pre-season.
